Program Specialist, Workplaces & Economic Justice team
Jordyn has joined Futures Without Violence as a program specialist on the Workplaces & Economic Justice team. Prior to joining Futures, she has gained experience in local, state, and federal governments, as well as with various nonprofits focused on advancing racial equity through improved access to education and employment opportunities. Her career reflects a deep commitment to addressing systemic inequities, particularly at the intersections of racial equity, women’s empowerment, and economic justice.
Jordyn holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from New York University, where she concentrated in city and community planning. She also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy & Government/Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park. During this time Jordyn served as the president of a student organization dedicated to promoting political leadership and empowerment for college-aged women.
In her free time, Jordyn enjoys spending time in nature, cuddling with her fur babies, volunteering as a high school readiness mentor, and exploring the rich cultural diversity of the DMV area.
