Nina Darby

brie-silvaProgram Manager, Child & Youth Team

Nina Darby is a program manager on the Child & Youth Team. She provides training and technical assistance to domestic violence partners to ensure that children and adult survivors can access what they need to heal and thrive. Before working at FUTURES, Nina delivered training and technical assistance to healthcare and social service providers, law enforcement, domestic violence advocates, court personnel and city employees on how to create programming that is trauma-informed, culturally meaningful, and survivor-centered. Nina’s training lens is informed through her lived experience as a survivor of violence and a decade of direct service work supporting communities who hold diverse identities and lived experiences, such as survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, incarcerated survivors, folks who identify as LGBTQIA2S+, folks experiencing housing insecurity, elder communities, immigrant and refugee communities, sex worker communities and disabled communities. Outside of work, you can find Nina reading a book, exploring nature with her daughter, and eating ice cream.
