On June 11th, Attorney General Jeff Sessions issued a decision in an immigration case brought by a victim of domestic violence seeking asylum in the United States. The decision attempts to erode protections for immigrant survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault seeking asylum.
At a time when violence against women and girls is a global crisis, a decision to deny protection to women fleeing gender violence is a grave mistake. It is now more important than ever to reach out to take action to defend these critical protections for immigrant survivors.
