Take the “Get Serious” Challenge

84% of dads think it's important to talk to their kids about mental health, but many say they don't have the language to do it*. The Get Serious (About Mental Health) Challenge is here to help: 1.) try out our tips for starting a discussion about mental health (or connecting) with a young person, 2.) post on social media encouraging others to do the same.

The ‘Get Serious’ Challenge is not just for dads. Everyone can play a role in helping young people feel seen, heard and supported.

Step One: Check out: Conversation Starters & Tips to Connect.
Step Two: Download our I Got Serious About Mental Health Virtual Photo Background for Social Media, post/tweet, & inspire others to do the same.

We’re serious about spotlighting the joy, hope, and connection that everyday actions can foster, especially where young people live, play, and learn.

* 2023 Survey, Verywell Mind.

The Get Serious (About Mental Health) challenge is launched as a part of the 2024 Dads Get Serious virtual event. We are so grateful to our speakers, performers, and partners!
