At Fostering Media Connections (FMC), we believe that what we talk about—and the way we talk about it—has the power to change the world. For us, real change begins by improving the lives of vulnerable children, and we use journalism and media to do it.
Please join us on October 16, 2014, for Late Night with FMC in the beautiful Presidio in San Francisco. Our emcee will be Lisa Ling, executive producer and host of CNN’s new docu-series THIS IS LIFE. In July, the Oprah Winfrey Network aired an episode of her docu-series “Our America with Lisa Ling” that centered on Los Angeles County’s foster care system. FMC Executive Director Daniel Heimpel was a co-producer.
We hope you can join us to meet the FMC team, hear inspiring stories of foster youth whose lives have been positively changed by FMC’s work and learn our plans for the upcoming year. As an added bonus Esta Soler, the incomparable president and founder of Futures Without Violence, will offer opening remarks.
