Description: This webinar will review recommendations from the Attorney General’s Advisory Committee on American Indian and Alaska Native Children Exposed to Violence, and make connections to the science of the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study. Participants in this webinar will learn key action steps to reduce traumatic impact of violence and other ACEs, on the individual, community, and policy levels.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Review recommendations from the Attorney General’s Advisory Committee on American Indian and Alaska Native Children Exposed to Violence.
  2. Introduce core Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) – related concepts of neurobiology.
  3. Introduce the concept of community capacity development to reduce trauma in Indian country.
