Information Use Requirements

Thank you for your interest in Futures Without Violence, formerly Family Violence Prevention Fund. Use of Futures Without Violence materials, campaigns, titles, information, etc. is subject to the requirements below:

Please note: “Coaching Boys Into Men,” “Founding Fathers,” “Futures Without Violence,” and any graphics and logos on www.futureswithoutviolence.org and corresponding collateral are trademarks or service marks of Futures Without Violence and owned by Futures Without Violence. The foregoing may only be used with the prior written permission of Futures Without Violence and when doing so, Futures Without Violence ownership and/or permission of such use must be duly noted. Please see details below.

Section 1. Using Information Provided on Futures Without Violence Website Without Modification

If you are using assets of Futures Without Violence (“Futures Without Violence assets”), including but not limited to:

  • Text on our website,
  • Publications, reports, or other written material,
  • Images, audio and video clips,
  • Posters, brochures, stickers, or any other content in any context,

you must cite Futures Without Violence as your source. Please provide as much of the following in your citation:

  • Title of Web page or article;
  • “Futures Without Violence” as the sponsor/source;
  • Date the article was posted or the webpage was updated;
  • Specific URL of where you found information on our site, or the general URL – www.futureswithoutviolence.org.

Recommended citation format:

For our records and approval, please email your request to info@futureswithoutviolence.org. Include your name, organization/affiliation, contact information, and details of the asset you wish to use, including where and when (e.g., publish date) you plan to use it.

Section 2. Using Futures Without Violence Assets in the Context of a Larger Work

If you will be using Futures Without Violence assets in a larger paper, publication, video, etc., please submit the following for approval:

  • The paragraph appearing before and after the Futures Without Violence asset or context in which the asset appears.
  • The publication’s or producer’s name, author, company/organization, and date of release.

Submit this information to info@futureswithoutviolence.org with your contact details and intended use timeline.

Section 3. Altering Futures Without Violence Assets

Localization and adaptation of Futures Without Violence assets are welcome. However, we reserve the right to approve such changes before distribution. No alterations, modifications, or localization of Futures Without Violence assets are permitted without written permission.

Submit proposed changes to:

Include your name, organization/affiliation, contact information, and publication details with ample time for review.

For Health-related resources distributed by the National Health Resource Center on Domestic Violence (a project of Futures Without Violence), download the appropriate flyer for more information on the localization process.

Section 4. Linking to Our Website

Futures Without Violence is pleased to have you link from your website to ours, provided that:

  • Your link does not imply endorsement by Futures Without Violence.
  • The link clearly indicates that the user is leaving your site and accessing another.
  • The link identifies Futures Without Violence by name and URL (i.e., Futures Without Violence; www.futureswithoutviolence.org).

You may not:

  • Frame pages of our website.
  • Transport viewers to any other location using the Futures Without Violence name or variations thereof without written permission.

Linking does not grant any ownership rights or interests in Futures Without Violence’s name or variations thereof.
