CATAPULT: Campus Action for Healthy Manhood

CATAPULT: Campus Action for Healthy Manhood is an initiative designed to grow the leadership of men to end violence through care, connection, and accountability. It seeks to challenge harmful campus norms, foster healthier relationships, and create a safer and more welcoming environment for all students. Through tools, training, events, and student-centered campaigns, CATAPULT encourages critical conversations about how we can cultivate healthier versions of manhood on college campuses.

Why CATAPULT Now?

  • Women are enrolling in and graduating from college 5-10% more than men, a gap widening in the last 10 years.
  • 65% of young men feel that quote, “no one really knows me,” with nearly half saying their online lives are more interesting than their offline ones.
  • Two-thirds of men feel more praised and accepted when they act manly. Yet, these “most stereotypically manly” qualities are associated with depression, sexual harassment, and binge drinking.
