What Would Cuts to Medicaid Mean for Domestic Violence Survivors?
Medicaid is an important source of health insurance for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, providing not just health coverage but also links to other vitally important services including housing and food supports. So people facing violence have a tremendous amount at stake as Congress considers deep, unprecedented cuts to Medicaid, which serves nearly 80 million people, including seniors, people with disabilities, children exposed to violence, and family caregivers.
