May is Mental Health Awareness Month! About 1 in May is Mental Health Awareness Month!

About 1 in 5 youth experience anxiety or depression, and far too many don’t get the support they need.

This month, we’ll be sharing resources, insights, and ways we can all show up for young people! 💚

One way to take action is by building the skills to support youth in real moments. Through Team: Changing Minds, we equip caring adults with practical skills to recognize youth mental health challenges and help connect young people to support sooner, not later.

💡 Ready to take action? Complete our free 45-minute online course and learn how to respond with confidence and compassion.

In a world that can feel overwhelming, safety star In a world that can feel overwhelming, safety starts with the small, everyday moments.

Children who experience stress or violence don’t always have the words to express what they’re feeling, but they notice how we show up.

“Everyday Magic” highlights the specific things a parent or caregiver can do or say at any stage in their child’s development to connect with their child.

It’s hard being a parent. It’s even harder if your family has experienced violence. But moments of connection, calm, and love can still happen! 💚

Thank you to everyone who joined FUTURES for our s Thank you to everyone who joined FUTURES for our standing-room only conversation: “Connected & Courageous” at last week’s Skoll World Forum in the UK.

We focused on how to advance connection, belonging, and the well-being of boys and young men – in conversation with leading philanthropists, corporate leaders, journalists, artists and advocates.

Our conversations included how personal narratives can spark empathy and challenge harmful norms around masculinity through storytelling from our Courage Museum. We also examined the urgent mental health crisis facing young men, and how initiatives like Team: Changing Minds are helping trusted adults show up with the tools to build trust and reduce isolation. And, we discussed the role of media and technology in shaping identity, and how digital spaces can either deepen harm or support healthier futures.

We are grateful to be in community with so many leaders committed to building a more connected and compassionate future.

Thanks especially to all of our speakers Pat Mitchell, Jake Barton, Rachael Smith Fals, Brian H. O’Connor, Manuelito Biag, Sasha Khokha, Sarah Haacke Byrd, Maggie Hureau, Mayele Jules Murhula, Jared Shurin, and Andrew Griffin!
